EU JRC Machine Learning data processing


BlueGreen Labs provided data management and machine learning software development expertise for the EU Joint Research Center (EU JRC) within the context of a landscape image segmentation project. Together with the EU JRC team we formatted a dataset contains 1784 north-looking landscape images with their corresponding annotated masks from across Europe. The image dataset was consistently formatted (as a STAC catalogue) and a worked example / workflow for fine-tuning and or expanding these efforts was provided. The data and code was published as a data paper in Data in Brief to ensure maximum outreach and impact.
